Measuring progress on Malaysia's Safeguards Principles, Criteria and Indicators (PC&I).

Each safeguard principle is accompanied by specific criteria and measurable indicators to track implementation progress. The indicators cover governance, environmental, social and economic dimensions of REDD+ safeguards.

Policy coherence, transparency, institutional coordination and legal compliance indicators.

Social

Stakeholder participation, community rights, benefit-sharing and social safeguards indicators.

Environmental

Forest cover, carbon stocks, biodiversity conservation and environmental impact indicators.
