MALAYSIA REDD PLUS SAFEGUARDS INFORMATION SYSTEM (SIS)

Malaysia became a Non-Annex I Party to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) when it ratified the Convention in 1994. Malaysia then joined the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement in 2002 and 2016 respectively. REDD Plus plays an important part in the Convention's national-level implementation of mitigation activities.
